You know what is cool like that? Hip-hop tri Digable Planets are making a proper reunion and tour after their 1995 break up.

After a number of one-off performances over the years, Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira, and Craig "Doodlebug" Irving have announced a number of dates in the United States, including a few festival stops.  See their (so far - hopefully) itinerary for May through July:

05-28 George, WA - Sasqutch! Music Festival
07-02 New Orleans, LA - Essence Festival
07-16 Chicago, IL - Pitchfork Music Festival
07-18 Cincinnati, OH - Woodward Theater
07-19 Asheville, NC - Orange Peel
07-20 Birmingham, AL - The Saturn
07-21 Nashville, TN - Exit/In
07-22 Atlanta, GA - Masquerade
07-23 Charleston, SC - Music Farm
07-24 Carrboro, NC - Cat's Cradle
07-26 Washington, DC - 9:30 Club
07-28 Ardmore, PA - Ardmore Music Hall

During their time off, Digable solo project Shabazz Palaces has been making the rounds at festivals and most recently "Rebirth of Slick(Cool Like Dat)" was featured during a memorable scene in Rick Famuywia's film Dope.

Hopefully Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca, and Doodlebug will buzz for more than the dozen dates they've announced around the United States and tour the whole Digable Planet we live on.
