Chance the Rapper recently had to cancel an appearance at a charity event, having been hospitalized day before it was scheduled to take place.

According to Billboard, the rapper was scheduled to appear at New York’s Terminal 5 for the “Night For NYC” on Sunday night. The event, which was hosted by the Robin Hood organization, was created in order to raise money for poverty stricken people in the area. The whole of the night’s proceeds were donated to the cause which would “feed a family of four for one week.”

In the place of the Chicago rapper, the organization announced a new set of performers. Anderson .Paak, Mark Ronson and Joey Bada$$ were quickly named - and if you ask us, that sounds like a more than adequate replacement!

For his part, Bada$$ offered his well wishes to Chance on Twitter after the news was confirmed by the events hosts.

“Looks like I'll be performing at Terminal 5 tonight in NYC covering for my brother @chancetherapper get well bro I got you,” he wrote.

Last week Chance was in New York where he appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. He was there to debut his new track “Blessings” which will be on his new mixtape entitled Chance 3. It is scheduled for release this week on May 13th.
