Bob Moses are literally becoming the next best thing. If you give their track "Tearing Me Up" a listen, I am fairly certain you'll see why. The Brooklyn-based electronic duo are perfectly described on their SoundClound,

"Occupying the fertile ground between organic land and all-electronic production project, Bob Moses draw on the two poles to vividly resonate across both."

Nowadays, electronic music is inundated with bedroom-wannabe producers to big label puppets. It's a tough place to be right now, so when a true act breaks through the madness with an original sound and live performance, you know they must be doing something right and should listen up.

In general, it's a rare occasion when you will see a guitar being played during an electronic-based set, as well as accompanied with live vocals. OK, you can throw out a name such as Disclosure and such, but Bob Moses has something fresh to offer. While their music speaks for itself; chill, house-y, moody electro, atmospheric house, and deep house layered with soft-spoken vocals, Bob Moses live set gave me a whole new respect for them.

While the duo are catching fire; they have recently performed on the Ellen Degeneres show to being listed to appear at Coachella to embarking on a North American tour, which kicked off last weekend here in San Francisco, Bob Moses are just getting started. I was lucky enough to catch their first show of the tour in San Francisco as it had sold out months in advance with very few, if any, tickets left to scalp. The show was hyped, and it was all well deserved. I have to be honest, I expected a much less dance-vibe from the show, but when the guys came on there was no shortage of movement in the packed house, even for being a bunch or sardines.

Their newest album Days Gone By is easily one of my favorite albums of the year, providing a depth of electronic music that's not often found. Be sure to catch them this spring at the tour dates below:
