Legendary folk artist Bob Dylan may be 74 years old, but he's showing no signs of slowing down. The singer/songwriter is currently recording an album of standards, a follow-up to 2015's Shadows In The Night.

The news was officially announced at a Rick Rubin tribute night held by the Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing. Billboard spoke to engineer Al Schmitt, who has won a casual 20 Grammy Awards, engineered Shadows and is set to work on Dylan's forthcoming record.

“He sounds great,” he said. “His mood in the studio is fabulous. We’re having a good time. We’re like two old shoes together now, we’re so comfortable with one another now.”

The standards album will again be a series of covers, although the exact content is currently unknown. Shadows was an album which exclusively featured covers of Frank Sinatra tracks.

“He’s extraordinarily smart and he’s so aware of everything that’s going on, so he knows what’s happening at every moment.”

We'll keep you posted as more information unfolds.
