One of the most exciting, not to mention unique electronic acts to come from Montréal in recent years is Beat Market, a duo who, since releasing their first LP in 2014, have gone on to achieve acclaim and recognition for their groundbreaking beats and futuristic sonic exploration.
The duo released their second album Sun Machine last September, and this weekend they will representing Montréal with perform two special shows in Toronto, as part of Canadian Music Week.
Known for their thrilling live instrumentation, they incorporate drums, guitars and more into their elaborate live performances, enhancing the music and audience experience in more ways than one. For anyone interested in riveting live electronic performances, and music that takes influence from the likes of Daft Punk, Vitalic, Roksyopp and Justice, these shows are not to be missed.
