A few days after her tirade on Twitter in which she made several racist comments about fellow musician Zayn, Twitter and the Born & Bred Festival have both decided to take action.
Twitter suspended Banks' account after her indecent comments and non-apology in which she "apologized" to "everyone except the targets of my tirades." Twitter clearly states in its terms and conditions that it can suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently based on the abusive content or behavior of the user. Sadly, this was not Banks' first offense. Last month, she posted a series of graphic tweets aimed at former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, which caused Palin to threaten Banks with a lawsuit. Additionally, she has also picked fights with several other musicians throughout the years.
This year's Born & Bred Festival has also dropped Banks from its lineup due to her controversial comments. Although we all learned this lesson in grade school, I guess some people still haven't figured out how to think before they speak.
