Not long ago, Twitter and the Born & Bred Festival have taken action in light of Azealia Banks' tirade against Zayn Malik by suspending her account and dropping her from the headliners respectively. This was sparked by Zayn's "Like I Would" video. As noted by Billboard, Banks seemed upset about the echoes of her previous style in Malik's video. Despite having issued an initial 'apology', both Twitter and the music festival have made no further updates regarding their stance on the situation.

This cold war ends today, however, with an actual official apology from the artist by posting this update on Instagram:

Dear World,

Now that the immediacy of the infamous incident has worn off, I've had some time to decompress & take a more rational assessment of things. I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world. Employing racial/sexual slurs/stereotypes in attempts to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and is not fair or fun for anyone. Allowing my anger to get the best of me, I've managed to insult millions of people without reason. And for that I give my deepest apologies.

Most people would probably think that it's best if Twitter keeps her away for a while-and for all the right reasons. Twitter, you might want to include a certain taco-loving guy while you're at it.

In the mean time, stream her (equally-controversy ridden) album Slay-Z here.
