Okay, so we're a few months late to the table, but better late than never, right?
Nevermen is a new group consisting of Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr Bungle, Fantomas etc), TV On The Radio's Tunde Adepimbe, and Doseone. Following the very Nine Inch Nails-esque first release "Tough Towns," second single "Mr Mistake" is really, really great. As in, play five times on repeat great.
The track is bright, catchy and summery, which is completely unexpected from a Mike Patton project. That said, you cannot predict a man who has collaborated with everyone from Norah Jones to Bjork to Dillinger Escape Plan. Adepimbe, meanwhile, has recently collaborated on a track with Mass Appeal's Little Shalimar, and last year co-starred in Nasty Baby alongside Kristen Wiig.
Nevermen will be dropping their eponymous debut album on January 29 via Patton's label Ipecac. To coincide with the release, they have just announced announced a string of USA tour dates (courtesy of Pitchfork):
