With so much music released these days, it's easy for us here at Indie Shuffle to miss the odd gem or two, but the fact that none of us picked up on Neneh Cherry's "Out Of The Black" just seems criminal.
Taken from Blank Project, Cherry's first full-length solo album in 18 years, "Out Of The Black" is sensational, with Cherry's mature vocals sounding at home over Four Tet's brooding synth production. Swedish pop purveyor Robyn joins Cherry on the tune. With the lyrical interplay between the two similar to milk and cookies, it's a surprise it's taken the two so long to collaborate.
