The name Kaleida might be familiar to any of you who are fans of the action flick John Wick. The electronic duo's "Think" featured in the film and helped boost the London-based acts popularity, although if you've been an Indie Shuffle fan for a while you would have already come across the track when I wrote about it back in 2013. Either way, after over a year's hiatus Kaleida returned with new single "Echo Saw You" and followed up with this cover of Nena's "99 Luftballons."
A sparse and minimalist take on the German original, Kaleida's take on the karaoke classic is not only a terrific cover, but has also been featured the action film Atomic Blonde.
It's really great to hear new material from Kaleida as they are a band deserving of big success. Be sure to check out their brilliant Think EP and pick up a copy of their debut album Tear The Roots this September 15.
