Why do we like this?
Occasionally there comes along a song with a guitar lick so simple and catchy that it renders your eardrums completely occupied. In this case, Portland-based Chromatics have accomplished just that with their cover of Neil Young's "Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)."
While Neil Young's original "Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)" featured grinding guitar and a 70s-esque rock drumming (appropriate, given its 1979 release), it appears that the quartet may have taken inspiration from an unplugged rendition of the song. You can catch Neil performing that piece live over on YouTube (as part of Farmaid).
