Nantes are a truly solid band. Solid sounds patronising, but it's not meant in that way at all. The Sydney-based group have gone about their work with little fanfare, but are swiftly becoming one of the most talked-about up-and-coming Australian bands. On the back of their debut EP (released last year), Nantes toured relentlessly, playing numerous Australian festivals as well as supporting the likes of Does If Offend You Yeah? and Manchester Orchestra. They're currently working on new material, with "Unsatisfy" their freshest release.
The track has a robust, rhythmic feel to it. It's got that thick keyboard, guitar and bass combination that Klaxons pull off so well, giving it a lingering, eerie vibe. This ties in well with the chilling film clip released in conjunction with the single.
"Unsatisfy" is the first track off their upcoming debut album release, and is another solid step up for this excellent young band.
