Why do we like this?
Shufflers, meet Jordan Lee, aka Mutual Benefit. He's a wandering singer/songwriter who's been bouncing between hubs like Boston and Austin, releasing his own blend pop music quietly. I first heard "Advanced Falconry" on BIRP!'s August 2013 mix, and found myself interrupting the natural flow of the playlist in order to hear Lee's soft voice and these lovely violin strings again. And again.
"Advanced Falconry" is set to appear on Mutual Benefit's forthcoming Love's Crushing Diamond LP. According to Lee, the album's songs "were born around this time last year as simple folk arrangements but grew as I met more and more amazing people I wanted to collaborate with while zip zagging through the USA."
