Why do we like this?

Mungo's Hi-Fi is a group of Scottish reggae-dancehall dubbers who have just released their latest single, "Serious Time," featuring YT, which includes extra vocal cuts from Marina P and Shanti D.

Starting out in Glasgow as a collective of music fans before transitioning into DJs playing local bars and clubs, the group was tirelessly playing on in-house sound systems and became frustrated with the quality of the equipment they were performing on.

With the group on a mission to reinvigorate the sound system culture in the dancehall genre, they spent the next decade investing in their own kit, and now perform live music with full control over the sound.

"Serious Time" screams summer. As someone who thought that reggae was a bit "old school," I couldn't be more wrong. Mungo's Hi-Fi have impressed audiences with shows globally, including big festival names like WOMAD, Outlook and Glastonbury.

Keep an eye out for Mungo's Hi-Fi on their spring/ summer UK tour.
