Mt. Wolf Red (The Walton Hoax Remix)

This is a really cool remix of a really cool song, and I'm so happy that I get to share both of these here with you.

London group Mt. Wolf has recently returned from a year-long hiatus, and new single "Red" is our first taste of their new music. It's now been remixed by Belgian natives The Walton Hoax and, to be honest, I think I like this version even more than the original. 

The remix has masterfully managed to take this slow, ambient, captivating song, and speed it up with a new beat and a bigger soundscape -- all the while maintaining the ethereal tranquillity of the original. 

The slightly syncopated beat drives the remix along, adding a gentle but noticeable backbone. There's a more electronic feel to this track, and a focus on burgeoning synths rather than flickering guitars has changed the atmosphere entirely. Both are really beautiful, and surprisingly different.
