Why do we like this?
Let's give Mt. Wolf a warm welcome to Indie Shuffle. Hailing from south London, this quartet tip toes so elegantly around the folktronica genre that they make it look effortless.
Their EP, Life Size Ghosts, represents the possibility of combining darkness and lightness and actually making it sound gorgeous. The delicate balance of acoustics and electronics that Mt. Wolf uses teeters on the tight rope of folktronica and dark synth rock. The lead singer's luscious vocals lends a feminine touch to what can otherwise be a journey into the dark side of folk.
Mt. Wolf is paving the way down a path that isn't traveled nearly enough. To see what I mean, check out their full EP.
