We're pretty huge fans of Mt. Wolf here at Indie Shuffle, and it brought us great joy when, after a full year of silence, they released their first new single "Red" back in November. Fast forward a few months to "Hamburg," a heavenly semi-ambient piece, with more than six minutes of rolling rhythms, bulging beats, and melodic waves that wax and wane with a really interesting restrained power.
This is the kind of track that just lets you float away from where you are. That gorgeous, heavenly atmosphere really seeps in through each and every layer -- from the delicate guitars to the slowly building percussion to those phenomenal vocals. It's just beautiful.
We interviewed Mt. Wolf back in 2013. Give it a read it you like the track. "Hamburg" will feature on Mt. Wolf's forthcoming EP Red, due out next month.
