Moving Units Until She Says

I haven't really listened to Moving Units since their 2002 self-titled EP was released. As such, I find myself somewhat surprised to learn that they've released two albums, Dangerous Dreams and Hexes for Exes.

The group were early pioneers of a dance-punk sound that wedged its way into many modern acts. These new tracks have been released in anticipation of their upcoming EP release Tension War. "Until She Says" maintains some of the edge that the band flaunted a decade ago, but ultimately I feel it to be a bit of a toned-down experience relative to songs such as the infectious "X&Y." This must only be natural, given that it's been almost a decade since I last listened to the band. For one, production techniques have improved considerably.

Evolution's a good thing, and I for one am a proponent of a band constantly developing their sound. That's why I'm pretty stoked to be bringing this track to you as Song of the Day.
