Before they'd been signed to Modular and declared the next big things, we featured Sydney trio Movement's debut single "Feel Real" mid-last year. Since then, the group have undergone a slight re-boot, enlisting the incredible vocals of Lewis Wade to complete what looks to be one of Australia's most exciting projects.
We've been patiently anticipating a follow up from them - with new single "Us" now here. The wait was well worth it, with the track toeing the line perfectly between dance and R&B genres. Wade's soulful voice is superbly highlighted by the electronic landscapes bandmates Sean Walker and Jesse Ward create - delicate, dreamy, and totally understated. Everything about this song is thoughtfully crafted, with the slight touches of steel drum and echoing effects setting it apart from your everyday record.
Movement are on the verge of something special, especially now that they've backed up their earlier buzz with another standout release. Let's just hope we don't have to wait too long for new music from them, we're all hungry for more.
