"Umi Says" is possibly one of my favorite Mos Def tracks, so it's a pleasure to hear it in quality remix form.
Nick Monaco is a San Francisco-based producer whose affiliations include Dirty Bird, Wolf + Lamb, and as with this recent "Umi Says" edit, Soul Clap Records. If that combination of hard hitters doesn't give you an idea on how Monaco stands up to the competition, than I don't know what would. One listen with your ears will do the trick.
