Why do we like this?
Moritat is a pop trio from Chicago comprised of keyboardist Venus Laurel, guitarist/bassist Konstantin Jace, and drummer Corey McCafferty.
This track isn't amazing -- this is what we might call a filler track, but it reminded me of the early 2000s. I listened to it twice and thought others might want to do the same.
This really takes me back to when friends would make mixtapes —yes actual tapes — filled with Stereolab, Kings of Convenience, Sea and Cake, and the like. Discovering music then was so organic. Moritat's "Visits" wraps all those memories up in a nice little package that smells like dirt and fall leaves.
