Kauf, a producer based in Los Angeles, just released a remix of Moons' 2012 track "Bloody Mouth" with a free download via XLR8R. Recently joining Cutter Records, this producer is definitely one to watch.
A bit jazzy and totally nebulous, Kauf's remix carries the feeling of being lost and found all at once. It's lush with controlled restraint, the kind of precision that not every artist can achieve. Each melodic element waxes with complexity, the overall composition forming a calming swirl of diffused bass, drums and vocals.
Picking up steam in the touring world, already opening for the popular Cut Copy, Kauf will be supporting Com Truise in our lovely San Francisco next month at the Mezzanine.
