Why do we like this?

Experimental and exciting, this is a smooth and completely seductive track from a Minneapolis duo that I've just fallen in love with. Moon & Pollution have released their debut album The Box Borealis (stream or purchase here) and while the entire album is beautiful, "Alter Eagle" is an absolute stand-out for me. 

Seductive, downtempo beats blend with a ambient layers, creating a celestial, sublime atmosphere. The airy soundscape floods every crevasse between the beats and vocals, giving the trip hop sound an otherworldly, M83-esque vibe.

The two-piece act is made up of vocalist Molly Dean and producer Graham O’Brien’s (No Bird Sing). Since 2013 they've been honing in on their own sound, and what a sound it is. I love discovering new acts this good, and I highly recommend checking out The Box Borealis.
