Why do we like this?

Moodymann is an artist who has been criminally overlooked on Indie Shuffle, although in our defense, many of his best tracks came out prior to the site's existence!

Anyway, it's high time we rectified this, so here is one of Moodymann's best tunes. "I'd Rather Be Lonely" is a typical Moodymann track, a dusty, sample-based slice of soulful house. It also features some typical Moodymann idiosyncrasies, with a free-jazz style section at the end of the track.

Like most of Moodymann's work, "I'd Rather Be Lonely" was only released on vinyl, and you can get a copy from the Discogs marketplace.
