Why do we like this?

I don't know how this one slipped through the cracks. Swedish avant-garde synth-pop from Berlin. Need I write more? 

Molly Nilsson is, dare I make the cliche claim, "faintly familiar." She gives off a Zola Jesus-cum-Chinawoman sound: deep voice against synths, with morose lyrics to boot. It's all very lovely and painful at the same time. Think emoji message from your ex.

Nilsson's been making music since 2007, with five albums behind her. This track's two years old but we still think it's the cats pajamas. More Nilsson on Facebook.
