Why do we like this?
Here's a tuneful track from London-based singer/percussionist Mo Kolours. I'm loving the pulse of the African-inspired drums against Joseph's honey-dipped vocals. Stylistically, this is a bit like Dirg Gerner, but leaning a tad more toward the exotic side of the scale.
It's been about a year since we covered Mo Kolours last, with Kovar commenting that it reminded him "of the intensity of Gonjasufi but without [the] ferocity." This track hit my inbox to let me know of his new album coming out on One-Handed Music (home of Bullion, Paul White, Tranqill, Fulgeance, Ahu), dropping March 24 as a part of an electronic soul EP trilogy.
If you're into the vibe, check out the album trailer on YouTube. You can pre-order the album on Bandcamp.
