Why do we like this?

Misun just so happened to be the first group I covered on Indie Shuffle, and at that time I had just discovered the three piece from Washington D.C. Since then, I have been enjoying their unique self-proclaimed "aquawave" genre that offers a mix between indie pop and hip-hop with a beachy vibe.

Today, they share a new track called "Promise Me" that features an ascending galaxy loop mixed with some heavily distorted synths, and of course, the warming and soulful vocals of Misun Wojcik. All in all, it's quite a catchy tune with positive vibes that should set your dreadful Monday off on a good step.

The track is currently available for free download on their SoundCloud page.
