Why do we like this?
Last month we premiered a breezy electronica track by Santa Cruz producer Mist Glider titled "All I Need." I called the production comforting, noting Mist Glider's impressive ability to peel back his instrumentals and switch the style up.
On new single "Going Away," Mist Glider keeps riding the minimalistic wave. It's a much darker instrumental than I'm used to hearing from the Sleepy Beach co-founder. Other Santa Cruz producers like Tree have also been releasing gloomy tunes lately. A little bit of that summertime sadness, perhaps. Also, Mist Glider told me that he's been listening to a lot of Holy Other lately. So there's that.
