Why do we like this?
It feels like I've gone back to the early 2000s today. Not only has Jamiraquai re-entered the music sphere with another funk odyssey, but Missy Elliott has finally made her long awaited comeback with "I'm Better."
A minimalistic trap-inspired number produced by Lamb (who also makes his rapping debut on this track), "I'm Better" is low key return from Missy.
As you expect from a Missy, the film clip is all sorts of crazy, with a swathe of backup dancers, underwater scenes and all sorts of lasers and interesting costumes.
"I'm Better" is an interesting choice of track to mark her return, but either way it's great to have her back.
