Why do we like this?

Welp. Looks like this is my third time covering Mini Trees in just under a year. That can only mean one thing: I like them.

Okay, obvious aside, the fact that Mini Trees have managed to rope me in three times in a relatively short timespan is testament to the quality of their songs. Perhaps it's something about the melodic progression that reels me in? I'm not entirely sure, because this isn't exactly cutting edge indie rock. It's just very well done.

The LA-based artist is gearing up to release a new EP this year, and "Slip Away" comes as the first taste. Hopefully she'll win me over with more :)
