Why do we like this?

I have a feeling that this new single by Mini Trees is going to make its rounds all over the indie playlists of 2019.

"Dust" reminds me a lot of Wye Oak, but pulls off a sound all its own. The vocals are rich and emotive, their raw feelings flowing along to a lovely and engaging melody. Couple that with pretty-much-perfect instrumentation, and you've got yourself a recipe for a fantastic modern indie rock song.
