Why do we like this?

Mindchatter rose to prominence in 2019 and 2020 when he prolifically released a number of singles and an LP of mostly electronic leaning pop tracks with unique sounds and lyrics. We had never heard the likes of Mindchatter before this, but his music is complex and catchy enough to stand with the best of them.

He now has a new album, DREAMSOUP, and it might be his best work yet. “Nothing On Me” is more acoustic than Mindchatter’s typical sound. It sounds lighter, with a bouncy pop melody, but the lyrics remain thought-provoking and surprising. This track is immediately likable — I’ve had it on repeat for weeks and I can attest that it doesn’t get old quickly.

"Nothing On Me" is smooth and stylish -- TikTok might call it drippy. However you want to describe it, this one is guaranteed to earn a spot on your summer playlist this season.
