Mind coats is a duo from Denver. Despite having electronica as their focus, everything you hear on their tracks is original. They've played everything. No samples. I have a lot of respect for that.
Especially when considering the Brainfeeder-esque arena that they're playing in: jazz-influenced electronica. There is so much 'space' being filled up by tiny details, textures and warmth. So if, like me, you're into the cosmic-jazz, MNDSGN, or Kaytranada type sound, then you'll love this. It's the kind of track you could blast on a Sunday morning - but not when you've got people coming over for brunch; more like when you haven't been to sleep yet and could do with a soundtrack for the life-altering epiphany you're about to have.
"Echoes paint the brain." is the leading track from their finished full-length album spectral - an album which is a poem about the process of creating music. Keep a close eye out for the rest.
