Why do we like this?
MillionYoung is releasing his first full-length next week, titled Replicants. Front-man (and only-man) Mike Diaz blends synth and a bit of funky rock-n-roll to create a unique sound that, while still similar to Neon Indian and Toro Y Moi, stands out as memorable.
Perhaps my favorite part of the song comes around 1:20, with the introduction of a slick synth riff the segues into a catchy, danceable chorus. The single "Replicants" is demonstrative of the sound throughout the rest of the album, which takes a quicker, more up-beat approach than MillionYoung's EP Be So True.
