Mikky Ekko is one of those artists who you may or may not have heard of yet. The American singer-songwriter might be best known for his collaboration with Rihanna on the track "Stay," but this guy has a lot more to offer than just that. His debut album Time reportedly has a guest list of Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, Clams Casino, and more. The album is set to drop on January 20, 2015, so stay tuned -- it should be a solid one.
I recently saw Mikky Ekko when he opened up for Alt-J in New York, and his performance was surprisingly good. His set moved between different genres, providing everything from R&B vibes to folky flavors. I wasn't too familiar with his work prior to the show, and I never left my spot and enjoyed every minute. Definitely would bring my mom to his show, too. Well, mostly because she loves some good live music!
