We've featured Vindata a lot on Indie Shuffle, so allow me to introduce you to up-and-coming electronic artist Mija.
I've been following her rise for a while now, and to be honest, I want to be friends with her so badly. Her SoundCloud bio reads "shredding a tidal wave of whiskey on a surfboard made out of don't care." I can totally get behind that.
She's the sunny producer behind this remix of DJ Snake's "Middle" and a member of Skrillex's OWSLA regime. On "Better," she joins forces with Vindata to create an exuberant and bubbly track.
"Better" fizzes with spunky samples and lithe, starry synths. It's balanced by trappy percussion and a melody that seeps into your skin. It's fun as hell and comes accompanied by an equally vivacious and FOMO-inducing video.
A great companion to the playful track, the video, directed by Ryan Farber, follows the two artists through their performances at Ultra Miami and back home in L.A.
