So, for some reason or the other, Passion Pit got full credit in the song title (if you hadn't guessed, their half of this mashup is "Carried Away"). Meanwhile, Deniz Koyu's remix of "Pretender" by Miike Snow gets nothing but a slight nod. Doesn't really matter, I guess. Just an observation (one I'm only making for the sake of writing something).
On the bright side, this one's a pretty decent mashup! The two artists can be loosely categorized together, so naturally their songs align quite well.
Whether for better or worse, I feel like this genre has become less prevalent in 2012, giving way far more original content (and still just as many remixes). Perhaps the general populace has grown tired? Or moreso, the artists responsible for mashing songs. Maybe it's just that Indie Shuffle has broadened its horizons?
