Los Angeles crooner Miguel has surprised everyone with the release of the three-track EP nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee. The free EP (download here) is near 10 minutes long, packed full of Miguel's soothing vocals and polished production, with "nwa," the track featuring Kurupt, the easy highlight.
Over a sparse, electric guitar-laced beat Miguel purrs, "This is something for my OGs," while Kurupt drops a typical Kurupt verse. There are hints of early 90s g-funk era filtered throughout, and combined with Miguel's sexuality and Kurupt's gangster flow, it makes "nwa" a blazing tune.
