While Sydney's Midnight Pool Party may have taken their time to follow up debut single "I Want, I Need," they're clearly on top of their game now. You may recall that they released their last single "Linger" only three weeks back, and today we're already being treated to its B-Side "Disco Delight."
Their previous releases have been action stations from the start, but on this track, they've taken a different approach. It starts slowly (almost delicately), building steadily until it really kicks off around half-way through - with hand-clapping and urging vocals pushing things along. The song really gets fun toward the end, with the culmination highlighted by some typically slick guitar work courtesy of Oliver Dela Cruz.
Disco isn't my favourite genre by any stretch of the imagination, but there's something ridiculously fun about Midnight Pool Party's music. I think there's something there for everyone.
Make sure to check out the Linger EP, which includes remixes of the title track from Luke Million and Sondrio.
