Why do we like this?

After the success with his former band Cotton Jones, Michael Nau seems to keep hitting the right notes in his solo career with effortless, yet always wonderful indie folk tunes, dropping new albums each year since his debut in 2016.

"Rides Through the Morning" is his latest single. It starts smoothly with just a base, guitar, beautiful and serene choirs, echoing simpler times... and then Michael Nau kicks in with the chorus, bringing the drummer along and the music sets off.

Even though there are no news of an upcoming album, this single as well as "No Quit" make me look forward for anything he decides to drop out, unfortunately, looks like we'll have to wait for now.
