Why do we like this?

Who's up for a new song from MGMT? I know you can't hold back your curiosity...

Today the band released the music video for their new single "Your Life Is A Lie," via Columbia Records. It marks the second single off their upcoming self-titled album, following up their Record Store Day release of "Alien Days" back in April.

The song itself is jarring and repetitive, reminiscent of music by The Flaming Lips, Starfucker and perhaps even Animal Collective. Overall, I find it neither this way nor that; here's hoping this one fits well in an album full of gems.
