A Joyful Reunion
Metronomy strikes again with the best happy/sad electro-indie track this side of the JoyCon.
Just when I thought Metronomy had the most distilled version of their aesthetic down, they strike again with something almost non-existent - a feeling so difficult to place, the happiest sound, the saddest irony, and the most melancholically neutral electro-pop beat.
It's something that I did not expect when I opened the track and even though I was unprepared, I found myself enthralled by the romance and pain of the track, and not only that, but the track had me bopping, bopping along to its self-imposed confusion.
"It's Good To Be Back" is a refreshing sound that had me from the toes to my mind.
