With parents who constantly reminisce about the 80s, I’ve developed quite the soft spot for synth pop over the years. For that reason, I’m always excited to see the rising indie-dance artist Memoryy coming out with new, nostalgia inducing tunes.
This time around he’s dropped “Turning The Page.” The track leads with building synths and raspy vocals; elements that eventually grow into an explosion of pure emotion as the artist ascends to the highest reaches of his vocal range. The track’s feel-good hook demonstrating the joys of moving on from old relationships is sure to stick in your head for a while.
Over the past five years Memoryy has developed quite the impressive synth pop portfolio, and even dipping his toe in producing tunes for TV. If you like what you hear, definitely take some time and go through this guy's older work, as it all caries that reminiscent vibe that makes "Turning The Page" so good.
