Why do we like this?

I wrote about the Spanish production duo Memeb's debut single "Thousand Words" last month, noting that the EP was on its way. Well, it's arrived, and "Waiting For You" is probably my favorite track off it!

The Surface EP in its entirety is a perfect smash of four gorgeous summer-tinged tunes and a deeper remix, but "Waiting For You" featuring the soulful vocals of the emerging artist Jahkoy is the icing on the cake.

His voice really reminds me of an early (solo) Justin Timberlake. However the nostalgia ends there as the melody and chord progression is very futuristic. It's been said that these two are seeking to create their own version of 21st century music, and this tune is definitely evidence of that.
