Choosing to make trap music that feels like it actually has a soul, MEMBA's "Warrior" is the kind of trap we deserve.
Balancing atmospheric builds with heavy bass, "Warrior" forgoes the basic, pedal to the medal approach most trap producers try to take today: High energy; hands in the air; it's lit fam. Instead, MEMBA leans on largely minimalist tendencies comprised of simple bass lines, sparse percussion loops, and letting the track unfold. Of course, he'd be remiss not to include even a short snippet of a turn up, but MEMBA elects to let it have its own space in the track's third act.
This allows the eventual drop to have its now identity giving the track a worthy evolution during its runtime. The aforementioned drop definitely breathes and will crush multiple spinal columns in a club atmosphere: at close to 45 seconds in length, the third act sounds like classic Yellow Claw or DJ Snake - and punches on its own terms.
