Why do we like this?

I sat on this song for a while. I think the slow intro is what held me off from quickly approving of it...

Meadowlark's "Quicksand" reminds me quite a bit of Daughter. It's sad and pensive, with a beautiful melody and equally beautiful vocals. Pretty much the perfect package, though I should add that it's also to come across as incredibly generic with that style.

This track seems to be an exception to the rule, though. Every time I listen to it, it pulls me in even further.
