I honestly haven't heard a song by German producer Mazde that I haven't liked - and luckily for me, he has just dropped a new single!
The 21-year-old wunderkid released "Spreewaldplatz" a few days ago, a song he conceptualised while going for a swim at the Spreewaldplatz, during his time living in Berlin.
The track moves from being wonderfully ambient, into a sort of glitchy, drum and bass realm, taking the listener on a bit of a journey through various states of being, with the spacey, pitched vocals adding to that feeling.
Currently touring with Flight Facilities across Europe, he has also just finished a tour with ODESZA, and released a gorgeous collaborative EP titled Mazde x Lissa only 2 months ago.
And while we're talking about that EP, do yourself a favor and check out the amazing video for Pitch Black (one of the singles from the EP) below. I challenge you not to get teary.
