Why do we like this?
If you caught Maya Jane Coles' remix of Bonobo's "First Fires" and thought to yourself "dammit, I need more," you're in luck. Bonobo threw down a remix of Maya's 2011 jam "Something In The Air," and it's quite lovely.
Dark, danceable, and brilliant, Bonobo brings a subtle touch to his iteration, leaving much of Maya's creation intact. A seemingly endless spiral of deep house beauty, Bonobo creates a sinful downtempo groove, pairing down the more overt electronic nature of Maya's original.
There's something about these two producers that works together wonderfully, regardless of who is remixing whom. Maya, Bonobo, more please.
