We all agonize over our personal playlists, arranging and debating the best music for all of our moods. I can’t tell you how many lists I’ve pieced together just recently. Dozens for when I’m stressed at the office. One for Sunday mornings, another for happy hours. Two more for sleep. It’s fun to pair songs with a very specific times, moods, and places.
However, I go weak in the knees for those rare tracks that can’t quite be contained to a single stream.
Max Frost and St. Albion have created a remarkable track that evolves with our days and nights. We’ve covered “Withdrawal” before, back in 2015. It’s a great song by itself, but the mysterious St. Albion wields a new, slow magic — adding a good minute and change to the original track.
This remix goes great with an early morning run. You can sing-scream it out loud in your car before work (trust me). It helps set the mood ahead of a dinner party. Later, it will inspire you to shimmy out of your clothes.
If you’re not familiar with Austin’s Max Frost, creep his entire discography (and all of the remixes). Find where his music best fits with your day.
