Why do we like this?
There's a new label in town by the name FIELDS, and they're gearing up for their first release, CONDITIONS ONE. The album will include a set of songs that examine the human condition, compliments of Max Cooper.
We recently covered a track with D/R/U/G/S, and this time around have one featuring Calgary-based post-rock band Braids, formerly known as The Neighborhood Council.
On it, all three members of Braids sing along, while Max combines their haunting vocal melodies with his recognizably original bleep and bloops.
It's certainly a contrast to Braids' last album Native Speaker, and absolutely one I'd be keen to hear more of.
